Sends text message demanding you immediately call them "regarding a legal matter." Within 15 minutes of the text message, they call. If you don't answer, they do not leave a message. Reports on another site indicate this is a scam debt collector, with repeated calls threatening legal action, yelling, etc. Remember - if you can hit "RECORD" on your phone when being abused on the phone by any debt collector, and get the debt collector's information, this is evidence of a federal Fair Debt Collection Act violation with recovery of attorney fees and costs, plus statutory fines (payable to you). |
