A "Jacob Green" called asking me if I wanted to renew my magazine subscription. I NEVER ordered any magazines, but about 6 months ago I started getting magazines in the mail. It started with just a few, but now I get about 6 different magazines a month. He said I signed up for a trial period, but never cancelled this subscription. He then told me I could cancel this subscription but he would need my bank account or debit card information. I wasn't thinking that this was a scam so I gave it to him to make sure he would cancel my subscription that I supposedly signed up for. Then after I gave this to him, he told me I would have to pay for all these magazines I already got. That would be $34.90 a month for 30 MONTHS!!! I told him there is no way I was going to pay this. It was on the weekend so I couldn't call my bank. Then when I went to look up this phone number that he gave me it was 1-888-299-8476. This was on the internet as a SCAM!!! This same thing happened to many other people!! I called my bank today to tell them about this so he wouldn't take any money out of my bank account, but it had already happened!!! The bank is going to dispute this. This man needs to be stopped!!!
