woman said her name was Barbara Anderson and told me to call back at a different number than the line she called on regarding paying back federal student loans, as options had changed. I don't have any student loans. She did not name a company name or organization. Sounds shady.

Claimed to have information about repaying a student loan

The woman leaving the message left her name and number with NO name of the organization that she represented. I called the number to hear the name of the organization in order to verify their legitimacy through some web research, however, even the automated recording that answers my call does not state the name of this "company." All companies must identify themselves when called. Since they did not, this is a BIG red flag!
