I'm in Canada. Robo-type call was supposedly from Canada Revenue Agency, threatening legal action if call was not returned. This has been reported elsewhere as a common phone scam, bilking people in to wire money supposedly owed to the CRA. I called back out of curiosity and was answered by a male with an accent identifying himself as "John", an agent of the CRA, along with his "ID number". I told him I got what I needed to know, and hung up. |

Left a computer generated voice recording on the answering machine saying it was Microsoft Corporation and it had stopped Windows services and that we needed to renew Windows license key. Called from 866-978-7312 but said to call back 866-978-7416. UNTRUE and SCAM |

This number left a message on our answering machine stating that the Microsoft Windows Corp., is letting us know that the key code on our computer is expired and has shut down Windows in our computers and we need to call 1-866-978-7416 immediately. SCAM |
