Someone called from this cell phone number, claiming to be with Massachusetts DTA/SNAP Program. She said she was calling to find out if I qualify for any of the state assistance programs. She went on to ask me several questions (my address, my weekly income, if I rent or own, who I live with, if I have any children...ect). I began to get suspicious that this could be a fraudulent call when she asked for my social security #. I did not provide that to her, and I asked if there was a # I could call her back on, or if she could arrange to call me back because I had a telecall appt scheduled with my doctor within the next 5mins, and wanted to be prepared for that. She told me she could not call me back, and that she couldn’t give me a # for me to return the call and she hung up abruptly. I called the state phone # for DTA/SNAP and reported this call to them, but have not had anyone follow up with me.
