This is a scam. I believe it is an inside job from comcast.

Just received this call, and was given the same promotional pitch everyone else has described... After I spoke with their sales woman (Telemarker), she transferred me over to her manager, and he said that I had to buy a Best Buy Gift card for $180, and call their billing department at this number: 1(855) 715-4313, and also give them the promo code by 10 pm tonight... The caller ID was label as "Xfinity," and they had some of my personal info (Name, Address & Cell # (obviously))... However, caller IDs can be faked, so you can see why I was skeptical... UPDATE: I called Xfinity, and spoke to an agent to verify this 'so-called BestBuy promotion', and It's a Total Scam! The Xfinity agent said that several months ago a customer called with checking with Xfinity first, and they got scammed for $180! You might as, how did they get some of your billing info? She said that it was probably a rogue employee with Xfinity, who was providing the scammers with this information

Received a call from a Comcast line. Purchase a Best Buy Gift card for $160.00 and call 855-715-4313 and give them the numbers off the card to receive 8 months of internet. I'm sure it is a scam.

Scam. Said they were Comcast with a reduced monthly rate but you had to pay $280 to start the first 2 months.

Calls pretending to be government, businesses, or family and friends was reported by a user from Owings Mills via FTC.

Unwanted Spam Call was reported by a user from Golden valley via FTC. This call was reported as a robocall.
