The BBB has good advice about computer service scams. Unfortunately I found that out the hard way. I got a warning on my computer screen that there was a virus and not to turn off the computer and to call a number for help. Regretfully, I called. I learned later that I should have shut down the computer and restarted. $499 later my “problem” was fixed. Wrong! Nine months later I get a call that my “agreement” would be automatically renewed for five years for…$6800! I spend several hours going round and round with these clowns. Advice from my friend who is an IT person was to call their bluff. I did. One would have thought these people were using the BBB warning list as a guide. High pressure, unreasonable demands, claiming I had signed a contract, immediate response required. Have nothing to do with any company with Gizmo Help or Gizmo anything in their name. Google the name and nothing good shows up. They are a SCAM, pure and simple.

Someone named Gary Smith called about some network service I had back in 2020 and claiming some document I signed for service totaling $6,800 and to call back at the 844-691-5958. The number that came up on my phone is an Omaha number displaying 531-233-6660
