An unwanted call from this Saticoy VOIP number arrived today. When the call was picked up by the answering machine, a prerecorded female voice announced that my number had been selected for a vacation giveaway. This is a well-known, longstanding scam operation. Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) constantly troll the phone lines, desperately seeking gullible schmucks to victimize. Whether it's vacation giveaways, credit cards, air duct cleaning, home repairs, computer repairs, scam charities, or the IRS, A SCAM IS A SCAM IS A SCAM. |
