Received a long distance call from this number, purportedly from RCMP who said that my son had been arrested and required 10,000 for bail. My wife was able to speak to the person who said he was my son and he sounded different and he explained that he had a bad cold and was upset. This turned out to be a fraud call. My wife was afraid to report this to police as they have her name and phone number. Hopefully, Rogers Wireless Network in Edmonton, Alberta will check this number, as I'm sure they have attempted similar tactics with others. |
