I have Call Block on my phone that screens incoming calls and the caller has to identify him/herself before the call will connect. A typical robocall isn't able to do this since it doesn't hear the directions to identify itself. This call somehow broke through. They have some sort of mechanism that bypasses the directions, and the call connected. My phone still announced the call, which I did not answer. It went to voice mail, but the no message left and the call dropped. Some of these robocallers may be onto call block devices on phones and devising ways to get around them. NEVER answer a phone call when you don't recognize the number! |
