Purportedly from the IRS, but would not disclose employee number, etc. When the person on the phone was informed that I was the legal guardian of the person he was seeking, he informed me that it did not matter that I was the guardian and that he was legally entitled to discuss this matter directly with the person he was seeking. This is an obvious scam for so many reasons, the first being that the IRS contacts taxpayers in writing, the IRS employee willingly gives you his or her employee number, etc. |
