Called this morning with the "MEDICAL ALARMS" caller ID, same as above. This is the first call from this area code so it wasn't blocked and these scammers woke me up! Of course, they didn't leave a VM. I've gotten SO many calls about these medical alarms. My grandparents used to get them too. Either it's a coincidence that they called both my Grandparents who were on SS & me who's on SSD or they somehow get information for people who are on Medicare which if they are, I would think is a violation of HIPAA. Don't know anyone in or around Iowa so this area code is now blocked. Whatever you do DON'T press any numbers they ask you to and definitely don't call them back or give any information. I hate that these people are trying to scam the elderly who may not know any better. |
