Just like others - male with accent calls from "Windows",problems noted, etc. I pretended to follow thru to his website, and pretended fear upon getting a terrible error message. He then asked for money to repair - and I told him to call back in a few days, since I would then have a million dollars from a Nigerian prince, who was wiring me his money for safe keeping. Life is good sometimes..... |

Just got a phone call from this number and seen it was from Quebec so I didn't answer and glad I didn't since I see from other reports it is a scam. |

Well, this guy who comes on has an Indian accent and yet gives an American name. I get these calls all the time although they may not all be from this number. Sometimes he/she says they are from Microsoft, Windows or just am unnamed computer technical support company. Sometimes they say they are from a company that seels prescription drugs and they ask me how I like that Viagra or Cialis that I am taking according to their records and yet they don't know my name. One time one of them admitted that he was in India and using a pseudonym. This number is a Pointe Claire Quebec Canada number near Montreal. Their carrier is Fido Solutions Inc in Montreal. Their parent company is Rogers Communications out of Toronto. They also own the Toronto Blue Jays. These are media/communications companies, so they may just get their phone service through them. This is a mobile or cell phone. There are clearly multiple people doing this from here at the same time. |
