Caller stated he wanted a credit card number and other personal info (SS#, etc,..) to lock a delivery rate in for Ever-source power delivery. This scam call came in 3 minutes after my finishing a call with Ever-source to change the power delivery carrier. I called Ever-source and reported that the caller, whom identified himself as "Wilson," had somehow acquired personal information regarding the change of energy delivery and was trying acquire the aforementioned personal info along with a credit card number to 'lock in the new rate.' Appears as tho' some entity has hacked into Eversource and immediately sees changes being made to customer's accounts. Then tries to scam money out of the Ever-source customer by trying to 'charge' for something which is already free from charges. |
