This number left voicemail from someone claiming to be Sarah Newcomb from the US Department of Healthcare; this is not a real federal department, it doesn’t exist. The official department is called the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services; under this department is the healthcare.gov website where you sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. The voicemail also said open enrollment is going on right now, which is also untrue. Today’s date is 8/26/2021, and open enrollment for 2021 has already ended. The open enrollment period for 2022 coverage is Nov 1-Dec 15, 2021. The message also mentioned something about prescriptions. They left a call back number: (855)-318-4806. If you look that number up, you will see similar scam reports. This is clearly a scam. You can verify all this info online, on the healthcare.gov website.
