An unwanted call from this invalid (obviously spoofed) L.A. area number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, the caller responded with dead silence. This is the tactic of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who continuously troll the phone lines, desperately seeking gullible schmucks to victimize. There is no 147 prefix in any area code. Telecriminals spoof their numbers to avoid being caught by law enforcement authorities and locked up in the graybar hotel where they belong. LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS!
