Just got a call from this number stating someone has been trying to use my social and possibly fraudulent activity over and over again. The number they dialed was a landline that my great grandmother has had for over 30 years

Just got a call from this number stating someone has been trying to use my social and possibly fraudulent activity over and over again. The number they dialed was a landline that my great grandmother has had for over 30 years

I received a call stating that someone called from this number to another number indicating that they were from Ogden Sullivan and O'Connor. They stated that they were requesting immediate payment for check fraud to avoid having to go to their home and repoing their vehicle. this individual was quite concerned, but I informed her that this was in fact a fraudulent call. Ogden Sullivan and O'Connor has not been in existence since 2011. I am not sure how they got this information or how they pulled Catherine O'Connor out of the blue in order to make these particular calls. But they are stating that they are attorneys at Ogden Sullivan and O'Connor, and calling on behalf of Catherine O'Connor in order to receive the funds for fraudulent checks. I hope someone gets further in this investigation to stop this person from making these calls and stating that they are with a law firm that they are not with.

Called my family saying I'm beinf prosecuted for Check Fraud, and I need to call asap before I'm arrested. I have no access to any checking acct, etc. Not very nice to scare my 89 year old mother, thinkimg that I'm so kind of bank robber or something. Trying to see if a lawyer can help them go away. Not sure if that's legal to tell employment or family...100%lie
