Identified himself as from Silverscript my current drug plan insurer but then told me to call an 877- #.

I received a call from a woman at this number who left a message saying that she was a SilverScript agent and that I needed to "review my plan benefits". She then provided an 855 number, saying it was her "direct line", even though she was calling me from the 217 number. I tried to get in touch with her by calling both numbers, but I only reached her voicemail where the outgoing message said that she was a "licensed insurance agent" without mentioning an affiliation with SilverScript – or any other company, for that matter. I later called SilverScript and was told that there was no record of any of their agents attempting to contact me (it was only this week that I got next year's evidence of coverage, formulary, and annual notice of changes in the mail). It's nearly the time of year when you're able to change plans and providers, so this person was probably trying to dupe me into doing something along those lines. Just a reminder when it comes to health care insurance: ask for -everything- in writing, and never agree or consent to -anything- over the phone!
