Scam call telling me the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant on me. They say to call 202-991-8340 immediately for info about the case. Uh, no. The IRS will send you mail first. And, the call isn't even directed at a specific person-they didn't say "this call is for___." When I get these types of calls, I head straight for Google. According to one website, this scam is a telephone scam that has bilked more than 5,000 taxpayers out of $26.5 million from October of 2013 through 2016. So sad. |

Fake IRS call. IRS does NOT call, they send mail. Do NOT fall for this SCAM, they will threaten & tell you you're going to jail to try to get money from you. |
